This week, Ontario Brain Institute (OBI) heads to Paris for the 20th edition of the Tech Tour Growth50 Europe Summit. OBI's VP Business Development & Partnerships, Garth Smith, will participate in two engagements across March 17 and 18, connecting with investors and innovators at the forefront of Europe's deeptech ecosystem.
Tech Tour Growth50 Europe Summit — March 17
On March 17, Garth will present at Workshop V: Health (14:45 CET) as part of the Tech Tour Growth50 Europe Summit. The Growth50 listing identifies Europe's top 50 tech companies with the potential to reach unicorn status across the Digital, Health, and Sustainability sectors, as selected by 100 leading growth investors. The Summit brings these companies together with investors to connect, scale, and celebrate their achievements.
The event positions Paris as a hub for Europe's innovation economy, convening decision-makers across industry, finance, and policy to exchange perspectives on scaling technology companies from research to global reach.
EIC Scaling Club Growth Forum — March 18
On March 18, Garth will serve as a jury member and panelist at the EIC Scaling Club Growth Forum, participating in the Intelligent Trust: AI, Cyber & FinTech Disruptors session (11:00 CEST). Selected EIC Scaling Club member companies will deliver five-minute presentations covering their growth journeys, upcoming scaling milestones, and their role in shaping Europe's deeptech landscape. Each presentation will be followed by an interactive discussion with a panel of leading VC and corporate venture capital investors.
