"We have no evidence that Tylenol causes harm to mom or infant"

Dr. Evdokia Anagnostou, co-director of the Province of Ontario Neurodevelopmental Disorders (POND) Network, one of the Ontario Brain Institute's Integrated Discovery Program, recently sat down with CBC's Matt Galloway to provide commentary on the U.S. government's recent announcement about an association between autism and the use of acetaminophen during pregnancy.
She stated, among other things, that "we have no evidence that Tylenol causes harm to mom or infant".

In addition to her involvement with POND, Dr. Anagnostou is also a child neurologist and the vice president of research at the Holland Bloorview Research Institute in Toronto, where she and an other leading scientists conduct vital research aimed at improving outcomes and quality of life for children with autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions and their families.
These experts have responded to the U.S. announcement, challenging the claims and much of the information.
