BIOGRAPHIES

Tom Mikkelsen, MD, FRCPC, joined the Ontario Brain Institute as President and Scientific Director in 2015. He received his MD from the University of Calgary and completed clinical training in neurology at the Montreal Neurological Institute. Since 1992, Tom has led the brain tumour program at Henry Ford Hospital and was responsible for building the clinical trials program and laboratory of tumour biology.

Jordan Antflick, PhD, is the Head of Integrated Discovery at the Ontario Brain Institute, a globally recognized not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing brain research, commercialization, and care. Committed to making scientific knowledge accessible and relevant, he and his team work to foster and translate research insights for diverse audiences within and beyond the scientific community.

Christa Studzinski, PhD, has spent the last 13 years working at the Ontario Brain Institute, where she is dedicated to creating partnerships that help get evidence-based solutions into the community to people who are living with and receiving care for their brain disorders. As the Director of Business Development and Partnerships, Christa is passionate about building a cohesive ecosystem for improving brain health.

Francis Jeanson, PhD, heads the Centre for Analytics at the Ontario Brain Institute, leveraging his expertise at the intersection of cognitive science and artificial intelligence to drive innovation and impact in healthcare. Over the past decade, he has led data science initiatives in clinical research settings, including neuroscience, cardiovascular, and chronic pain, and has collaborated on numerous projects aimed at facilitating the sharing and integration of health data. Francis studied cognitive science and AI, completing his doctoral work at Carleton University in computational modelling of cortical processing and embodied cognition.
