Leading neuroanalytic data innovation
OBI’s Centre for Analytics will accelerate the development of skills in neuroanalytics and support innovation and translation of innovative analytical and artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) methods that make use of the multi-modal data across brain disorders. With this multi-faceted approach, the CfA aims to increase our capacity to create disruptive technologies that better detect, predict, and treat neurological conditions such as brain injuries, mental health, neurodevelopment disorders, dementia, and more.
In support of Ontario’s emerging need for neuroanalytics leadership, the CfA is positioned to:
- Upskill
the next generation of neuro data scientists by funding placements, creating training materials, and facilitating collaboration
- Accelerate
access to high quality data and cloud computing at scale while creating a community focused on innovative yet ethical analytics and AI practices
- Translate
neuroanalytical methods by facilitating their validation and commercialization in a privacy and regulatory compliant way
Inaugural analytics initiatives are already leveraging CfA resources and expertise, including data on Brain-CODE, OBI’s state-of-the-art neuroinformatics platform, and new cloud computing platform that provides advanced computing capabilities and analytical tooling.
