Toronto Biomedical Engineering Conference (ToBE) | May 25, 2026
Held annually at the University of Toronto, ToBE has established itself as a premier platform for the exchange of knowledge and ideas within the biomedical engineering community. Each year, ToBE attracts internationally renowned speakers who share their expertise and insights with attendees, enriching the conference experience and inspiring the next generation of biomedical engineers.
National Defeat Depression Campaign | May 30, 2026
Defeat Depression is an initiative of the Mood Disorders Society of Canada. Defeat Depression events take place across Canada. Participants include friends, families, co-workers, neighbours, caring organizations and pets. To-date, over 3 Million dollars has been raised. These funds have helped over 130 community mental health organizations across Canada, as well as a portion of the funds helps Mood Disorders Society of Canada (MDSC) continue work on the national stage.
Brain-Heart Interconnectome State of the Science Summit | June 8-10, 2026
On June 8-10, the Brain-Heart Interconnectome (BHI) will host its 2nd biennial State of the Science Summit that will bring together leading researchers, trainees, and partners to explore advances in integrated brain-heart research. The 2026 summit will focus on Brain-Heart Health Across the Lifespan and explore the full spectrum of brain-heart research – from discovery to clinical applications and health system transformations.
Understanding Women’s Brain Aging Through a Whole-Body Lens | June 11, 2026
This symposium brings together researchers from diverse disciplines to exchange ideas, challenge conventional silos, and advance a more integrated understanding of women’s brain aging and dementia risk. Through cross-disciplinary dialogue, the meeting aims to catalyze new collaborations, accelerate discovery, and inform more effective strategies for promoting brain health and preventing dementia.
Freedom to Move: Run, Walk and Wheel for Dystonia | June 14, 2026
Every June Canadians from coast-to-coast unite to raise awareness and critical funds for dystonia. To date, Freedom to Move has raised over $1 million to fund research, support programs, and advocacy efforts for people living with dystonia. We invite you to join us in a celebration of strength, community, and determination to make a positive impact for those living with dystonia. You can complete a walk, run, or wheel either virtually in your own community or join the event in-person.
Empowering Older Adults: Modifiable Risk Factors for Dementia | June 18, 2026
Toronto Dementia Research Alliance is hosting a community event to share knowledge about dementia prevention, with a strong focus on modifiable risk factors for dementia. Together with their partner sites and community partners who share an interest in empowering older adults, they will provide information about dementia prevention from experienced clinicians and dementia research teams.
POND Network Science Day | June 24, 2026
This two-part event will highlight scientific advancements from the past year, including a POND's Participant Advisory Council member presenting on sleep in children with ASD and ADHD, then shift to facilitated panel discussions on the next big questions in neurodevelopmental research. Panels will draw from clinicians, researchers, and family members within and beyond POND, reflecting the under-researched priorities raised through POND's Participant Advisory Council.
